You’re invited to share your views on the proposed residential development off Carlisle Road in Kirkmuirhill and Blackwood by Bellway Homes.

Bellway propose to create a sustainable new residential development in Kirkmuirhill and Blackwood on land off Carlisle Road.

The proposals include:

The creation of a new neighbourhoods with approximately 122 dwellings to meet local needs.

29 affordable houses (to be agreed with SLC)

93 private houses, including 24 - 3 bed semi detached, 19 - 3 bed detached and 50 - 4 bed detached houses

Access from Carlisle Road.

Open space.

Tree planting and landscaping.

Site drainage (SUDS)

We held our first public exhibition of the proposals on 15th January 2026 and will hold a second public exhibition between 2pm and 7pm on Thursday, 5th February 2026  at the Blackwood Victoria Bowling Club, 25 Vere Rd, Kirkmuirhill, ML11 9RS.  Members of our project team will be on hand to discuss the proposals with you and take any feedback.
